elderly couple can't tell apart children's laughter from horses neighing

in our latest vox pop, we're told by an elderly couple that after kids returned to town for summer vacations this year they've had a great deal of trouble telling apart when the kids were laughing or when the horses were neighing. they say that last year was easier to tell apart because one of the horses had a dentist appointment to remove a tooth and developed a very distinct lisp.
